behind our purple velvet moon

I had better get there soon
my hours burning out
so close to you and yet
you just may be an incredible eternity
just outside of my reach

then suddenly I halt

and I see this wonderful
astral sea
of perfect tranquility
and realize this:

thatthereisnosuchthingastime

!!radiant!! you appear
before me through me in me
with glowing nimbus above your head
this is what you said:

"you've paid your due
and so here is your heart my beloved one
washed with love anew"
